a) Write imaginary dialogues.              

b) Use easy and clear language.           

c) Use questions and answers.
d) Use present tense.  

e) Use the given hints in the dialogue.  

f) Create relevant dialogues as per the situation.
 

1) Write a dialogue between Ram and Sham about book fair. Use the following hints. Make imaginary dialogues, ask questions about book fair, price of books, variety or books.

Ram  : Hello Sham!
Sham: -------------------------------------------------------------
Ram  : Did you visit the book fair in Municipal ground?
Sham: -------------------------------------------------------------
Ram  : Yes, I did.
Sham: Did you buy any books?
Ram  : --------------------------------------------------------------
Sham: It’s good. What kind of books did you find there?

Sham: What is about the price of books? Did the publishers give discount to you?

Ram  : I think it will go on till 15 of this month.
Sham: OK. I will definitely go there and buy some story books. I like to read stories.
Ram  : Nice. Go as early as possible. It is really a feast to browse all sorts of books.
Sham: OK. Bye Ram.

2) Write a dialogue between a doctor and a patient. Use the following hints: Make imaginary dialogues, patient is suffering from headache, sour throat and fever, doctor examined and find the disease; ask to take rest for few days and gives some medicine.

Patient: Good morning Doctor.
Doctor : -----------------------------. What's wrong with you?
Patient: --------------------------------------------------------------
Doctor : I see. Would you open your mouth, please? Thank you. Your throat is very red.

               Now breathe in. Thank you. Have you got a cough?
Patient: --------------------------------------------------------------
Doctor : I am going to check your temperature. Ah, it's 101. Well, you have got ‘flu’.
Patient: --------------------------------------------------------------
Doctor : Here’s prescription for some ------------. Take rest for ----------- days. You should

              take the medicine --------- times a day. Do not eat cold things. Drink -------- water.
Patient: OK. Thank you doctor.

              medicine three times a day. Do not eat cold things. Drink warm water.
Patient:  OK. Thank you doctor.

3) Write a dialogue in between two friends about their study and future programs. See hints: Make imaginary dialogues, ask questions about studies and preparation for future plans, give best wishes for future.

Sachin : I'm working hard in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I am planning to appear

              in I.I.T. after XII.
Anil     : How much time do you devote to your studies?
Sachin : I study for 6-8 hours every day.
Anil     : Have you joined any coaching classes?
Sachin : NO. Not yet, but I would like to join a crash course for I.I.T. entrance exam after

              completing class Xl.
Anil     : Ok, Sachin, You’re going in the right direction. All my best wishes are with you.
Sachin : Thank you very much, Anil.
 

4) Write a dialogue in between Rakhi and trekking guide. Use the following hints: Make imaginary dialogues, ask questions about essential things to be carried during trekking, get information about trekking places.

Rakhi: Good morning!
Guide: Good morning! What can I do for you?
Rakhi: I find trekking very exciting. Tell me something about it.
Guide: Well, trekking is the best form of adventure. You must try for it.

Guide: Many touring companies organize trekking camps in holidays for students. You can contact one if you like.
Rakhi: OK. What are the essential things I must carry?
Guide: Sleeping bag, packed food, water bottles, hatchet, rope, torch etc. are essential.
Rakhi: Which are the best places for trekking?
Guide: Maharashtra is famous for mountains. So you can choose many places
Rakhi: Do you go every month for trekking?
Guide: Yes. It's my regular work. I guide during the trekking expedition.
Rakhi: It's good. Thanks for giving valuable information.
Guide: You are most welcome.
 

5) Write a dialogue in between Salesman and Customer. Use the following hints: Cell phone has problems, it hanged and battery drained, inquire about receipt, one year warranty, salesman offers to send it to company.

Salesman: Good Morning, Madam. May I help you?
Customer: Yes. I have a complaint.
Salesman: Yes, please.
Customer: I bought this cell phone from your shop. It does not work properly.
Salesman: Let me see. What is the problem, madam?
Customer: It is getting hanged again and again. Its battery gets drained within one hour.
Salesman: I see, does it have a guarantee?
Customer: Yes, one year.
Salesman: Do you have the receipt please?
Customer: Yes, here it is.
Salesman: All right madam. Leave the phone here. I’ll send it to the company's workshop

                  for repairing.
Customer: Can't you change the piece or refund the money?
Salesman: We will change the piece if there is major fault. But we can't refund the money.
Customer: Ok. When will I get it?
Salesman: Well, it takes approximately eight days.
Customer: Ok. Thanks for your cooperation.
Salesman: Welcome madam.
