Good Morning. Friends. I welcome you to the Yoga session this morning on the
occasion of ‘International Yoga Day’.
International Yoga Day or World Yoga day is observed every year on 21st June. It is observed in more than 170 countries across the world and the purpose is to create public awareness about the holistic benefits derived from the practice of Yoga. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that aims to develop and strengthen your mind and body. There are several benefits to be derived from the regular practice of yoga by all age groups. Yoga comprises of Asanas, pranayam and dhyana. The asanas or physical exercises help to tone your body muscles and regulate the metabolism thereby achieving physical fitness. Pranayam helps one regulate and control ones breathing, thereby rejuvenating one's mind. Meditation or dhyana teaches you how to discipline your mind. Yoga thus helps you to control your mind and body. It increases self -awareness and improves concentration.
Today we lead extremely stressful lives, don't we? As students we too have to deal with several problems like exams, career choices, peer pressure, to name a few, Yoga will definitely help us to achieve both physical and mental wellbeing. Once you derive the benefits of Yoga you can motivate your peers too, by your own example! In cities especially the health of people is threatened by pollution, epidemics like Corona/Dengue/Malaria and day to day problems of living and commuting. If every individual devotes at least half an hour daily to the practice of Yoga, it will help them combat all the problems. So friends, don't you think it's essential for all of us to follow this beneficial practice given by our ancestors? After all, do we not desire good health and happiness? To face the ever changing and complex world we need to promote and practice Yoga. To counter the ill effects of climate change we need to practice Yoga. The health benefits of Yoga have been scientifically proven and acknowledged the world over. So friends, let us pledge to build a healthy nation. Yoga is a holistic system which heals and builds the mind as well as the body. In schools and colleges around the country if this practice is encouraged, surely we will have a nation whose people are healthy and wise.
Let’s thus begin in earnest from today and aim to practice Yoga every day and also spread the awareness of its benefits, locally, nationally and globally! Thank you.

Honourable
chief guest, respected teachers and my dear friends! Today I am going to
deliver a speech on the topic 'My Hobby’. Some things we do because we have to,
and we do something because we like to do. Things that attract and sustain our
attention spontaneously are our interests. What we do in our free time reveals
our interests. They are also called our hobbies. Many people have different
hobbies. They develop their hobbies in a specific way. I also have a special
hobby. My hobby is reading various books. I like to read novels, short stories
and dramas. These books give me joy, entertainment as well as knowledge of
human relationship.
It is true for me that books are very good friends of man. My books are not only my good friends but true guide also. Friends! Hobbies make man happy. They also remove the tensions and troubles of our life. Hobbies also give us good and healthy entertainment. My hobby of reading helps me to discover the new human values and way of living in a true sense. I never remain alone when I am in the company of books. I learn various good things by reading books. Dear
friends, please pay attention to me. I want to share my views with you. I
recently heard about that India has the largest population of blind people in
the world. Don’t you want to do something for them? If yes, you can make a will
that after your death your eyes should be donated to any blind person.
Friends! Eye donation is life donation. There is no proper happy and fruitful life if one has no eyes. Eye is the most valuable and powerful organ of man. If man has eyes, he can enjoy every incident of life. No other organ can take the place of eyes. Your eye donation can give you a chance to make your one part of body as immortal. Eye donation must be done within two hours of donor's death. You should fill just one form for it and any one of your dear ones donates your eye to the needful. So friends, take this opportunity as a chance to do one pious and valuable work in your life. The blind will bless your soul. His happiness is the real essence of your successful life. You will remain alive in the form of your eyes. So think over it and fill the form of eye donation.
With these words I conclude my speech. Thank you.

Honourable
chief guest, respected teachers and my dear friends! Today I am going to deliver
a speech on the topic 'Water Conservation’. Today, on 22nd March we
are celebrating ‘World Water Day’. It is said that if there is a third world
war, it will be over water. Are you aware of the severe water crises we are
facing? With the onset of summer, let's all become alert to water conservation.
According to WHO report none in most of the major cities in India have access to safe drinking water. The city like Mumbai ranks third in world’s black list of twenty seven worst performing cities. We should save every drop of water and cope with this scarcity. If the people and the government work hand in hand, nothing is impossible. We can make our earth a paradise to live in. Let's all resolve from today to save water in every way - mend your leaking taps today, take water in a glass when you brush your teeth, use a bucket instead of washing hands and face with the tap water running waste.
Remember drop by drop makes an ocean. So don’t waste water. With these words I conclude my speech. Thank you.

Good Morning everybody. Respected
Principal Sir, all teachers and my dear Friends. Today is Father’s Day and I
would like to pay tribute to all the dads present in this audience.
Ladies and gentlemen, children depend on both parents for a good upbringing, but fathers play a special role. Some might not quite agree with me, but I think fathers and men in general have a more practical attitude to life. While the mothers are good at their roles, fathers give a lot of thought to the future. Young children look up to them and seek their valuable advice. In many homes, fathers are the pillars of the family, they are strong and provide the necessary protection and support needed by their children and their spouses.
In many homes the father is the only bread winner and he is therefore expected to support the family morally, spiritually and financially. In today's world we find many dads doing just this and also lending a hand in the general domestic chores. Fathers! We do appreciate you and all that you mean to your families. Thank you, Jai Hind
8) You are the captain of your college
cricket team. You have your final match on Sunday. Your teammates are nervous.

India, it is said, is a developing
country, but my dear friends, I’d like to point out that it has developed by
leaps and bounds, over the years. We have made great progress in the field of
technology, which I am proud to say, has reached the rural areas as well.
Today, villagers have mechanized Ploughs and implements and farming is made
easier than it was in the past. Many villages in India, have schools, hospitals
and other amenities, villagers are as keen on education as any city dweller.
Yes, the face of the Indian village is changing. They have electricity, telecommunication

A large number of patients are poor and cannot afford expensive treatment. Your generosity and your blood can bring hope and new life to many. The blood donation drive will commence from tomorrow, from 9 am to 12 noon. I appeal to you, friends to donate your blood and you will experience the joy of giving and bring joy to many people.
